Graduation Requirements
According to Bullitt County Board of Education policy, starting with the Class of 2015, all seniors must meet the College or Career Readiness Benchmarks in order to receive a diploma from Bullitt County. To meet the College Readiness requirements, you must receive the following on the ACT – English (18), Math (19) and Reading (20). To be “Career Ready” as recognized by KDE a student needs to meet two requirements: one is an academic measure and one a skill based measure and complete a career pathway.
These measures are currently being re-evaluated and awaiting final requirements from the KY Department of Education (KDE). We will share the updated requirements as soon as we have them from KDE.
ACADEMIC - Score a 50 or higher on the ASVAB (AFQT) and successfully complete 3 years in JROTC
SKILL BASED - Pass one of the KOSSA tests which requires successful completion of 3+ classes within a career path OR earn an industry recognized certificate (e.g. – Welding, AG, Culinary, Child Care, Automotive, CMA, Microsoft, etc.)
